I was searching for CrossFit before I knew what it was. Like a lot of people, I went to the "gym" and tried different things, Usually I would start my new routine all excited and then just fizzle out. One day my Wife said "hey I've been doing CrossFit for a couple weeks you should try it." Reluctantly I took my first class, It was challenging, to say the least, but exactly what I was looking for. I wanted to share my new found love with others. I started my journey to help others become more fit. Six years later I'm still trying to be the best coach I can be. And loving it!

Sarah grew up in Colorado and Texas. She was always active in sports and was often found hiking with her family in the Rocky Mountains. She moved to Arkansas in 2003 after she earned her B.S. in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Special Education from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth. She taught in Bentonville Public Schools for 6 years before deciding to stay home to be a full-time mom. She is married to Michael and they have 4 children.

After she started staying home to raise their children, Sarah found that exercise became less and less of a priority for her. In fact, she took about 6 years off and was shocked when her husband brought up the idea of CrossFit. He had started working out at Bear State and thought it would be something she would enjoy. She begrudgingly agreed to try a Foundation class and fell in love with the sport, the gym and the coaches. Now, with her kids getting older and starting school, Sarah is excited to merge two of her passions, teaching and CrossFit, into one job. She is currently coaching a CrossFit class designed for children, KettleBears, at Bear State and looks forward to other opportunities to grow and help others reach their potential in the sport and in life.
